Radio Shack Sold me a USED item!

Went into the local retail store where I live and wanted to purchase a handheld scanner for a Christmas present. They were out of them and would have to request them from another store. When the item came in I picked it up got it home open it up to "check it out" I noticed that there was a silver B on the bottom and the screen was scratched up. I called the retail store, spoke to the Manager (who sold me the scanner) explained the situation and he was unfazed by the fact that they sold me a used scanner for the new scanner cost. Didn't have any in the store (of course) and said "maybe" he could get some in before Christmas. I voiced my disgust in their selling practices. I will be returning my purchase and telling everyone I know not to shop at Radio Shack.

Well, I just had the same experience. I just purchased one of their LCD enhanced soldering stations, brought it home..

Did some other stuff around the house. Here it is, midnight CST, and I open up the box so I can work on my project, and low and behold, the soldering iron has no tip, just a piece of clear rubber shoved on the end, and then burn marks all over filimant where the tip goes, upon further inspection, the handle is cracked where the tip screws in and out, AND the fillimant itself is all broken up and burnt, and when I plugged in the actual unit, you guessed it, DOESNT EVEN COME ON! I am very much pissed after spending 94.00 at my Denham SPrings,La Radio Shack (Soldering unit, Solder, and desolder braid), and now another day late on my project! AHHH!

I could SCREAM! Radio Shack has now lost my business and any other future business.
